Welcome to Mel's American Bar and Grill! Our menu offerings are the result of many years of research using true American cooking techniques. Many recipes were tested, but only the "best of" are used to revive these classic dishes. We hope you enjoy a little history provided about the places or people who helped create "authentic American food." We are passionate about food, but more importantly, we are passionate about real American fare. We hope you are too! Share your American food experiences with us. Submit your favorite recipes and their stories. If we select it, you and your family will receive dinner for four and your special dish will be offered as a menu item. Notable favorites include the Texas Style Beef Brisket (slices of dry rubbed seasoned brisket of beef with BBQ sauce on the side,) Butterfly Chicken (fresh whole chicken split in half and flattened, dry rubbed, seasoned and slow roasted,) Northeast Roast Duck with Orange Sauce (duck a l'orange as this dish was once known on Continental means is now considered an American staple; this recipe comes to us from the New York state hunters association,) Angel Hair Pasta with Shrimp and Broccoli (tossed in a garlic and lemon wine sauce) and the Bleu Cheese Fresh Chopped Sirloin Burger (fresh juicy and smothered in cheese.)
