Robert is a Life Member of the PGA, having been a Class A Member since 1971. He has managed private, public and resort golf courses throughout his career, his strengths being teaching, marketing and public relations. Robert competed in junior and amateur golf events in the Philadelphia area and was awarded a golf scholarship to Temple University in Philadelphia, Pensylvania, where he was named the Most Valuable Player of the Year. He has competed professionally in both local and international events. He was a successful player on the Space Coast Golf Tour in Florida and in numerous events in Spain, Portugal, Scotland and Ireland. The highlight of his competitive career was teeing it up in the 1982 British Open at The Royal Troon Golf Club, Scotland.
