Bob has been a Rick Smith certified instructor for over five years, having helped Smith extensively, along with his instructional staff, at the Rick Smith Golf Academy at Treetops Sylvan Resort in Gaylord, Michigan. During Bob's five seasons at Treetops, he also assisted Smith and his staff with large corporate clinics, mainly for VIP employees of Ford Motor Company. Bob also directed the weekly "Treetops Junior Clinics." Moreover, Bob caddied for PGA Tour professional Rocco Mediate, at the Grand Opening of the Rick Smith “Signature” Course at Treetops Sylvan Resort in July of 1993.
Additionally, Bob assisted with the well-known Nicklaus/Flick Golf Schools when he was employed at Desert Mountain Golf Club in Scottsdale, Arizona. Bob has worked as a golf professional at other prestigious golf clubs across the country, including Black Diamond Golf Club in Lecanto, Florida, and at Boyne Resorts (Crooked Tree) in Petoskey, Michigan. Bob won the City of Sterling Heights (Michigan) Golf Championship in 1991, 1986 and 1984. He has two career Hole-in-One's. Bob played college golf in Florida.
