Button # 452 Back of Button # 452a Description Shooters Hill Golf Club - The club was founded in 1903 at Lowood, Eaglesfield Road, Shooters Hill, London SE18 3DA. This large silver award button of 24mm has stylised lettering and a rather pleasing variance in the bottom angle of three balls within laurel sprays, all upon a dimpled ground and within a raised and milled rim. It is backmarked Birmingham 1907 V & S. I have to thank Sharon Deadman, Secretary of the Club for her confirmation and kind information. The design except for a change to EST 1903 in the lower angle is still in use on the Club’s notepaper.
