Button # 259 Back of Button # 259a Button # 259_2 Back of Button # 259_2a Description Wimbledon Park Golf Club - The club was formed in 1898 at Home Park Road, London SW19, close to the famous All-England Tennis Club. The copper gilt two-piece uniform button measures 21mm. Raised designs include title strap and the usual emblems plus two greens and flags. The reverse is marked Firmin & Sons Ld London. Firmins are the oldest of all the great button makers being recorded as early as the Seventeenth Century. This example dates from 1900-14. I also have a small (16mm) version in silver plate that may well be the ladies uniform cuff button. Image submitted by Dixon Pickup.
