Description

Timperley Golf Club - Cheshire. The club was founded 1892, but defunct c1939. An award in silver and blue enamel (23mm). Raised designs show the usual emblems, club title and county, plus the three garbs or from the county arms. The reverse shows the assay cycle for Birmingham 1927 and maker’s mark F.J.& S. This is probably a second class award as I have another example in plain silver, (third class), and a fellow-collector has an example in silver-gilt and enamel (first class).
