Description


Oxley Park Golf Club - The club was formed in 1914 at Bushbury, Wolverhampton, Staffordshire. There are two recorded variations for this button, the earlier award # 475 (22mm) is hall-marked Chester 1921 with maker’s mark CJW and features the club title clubs and ball in relief. It is engraved at the base June 1922. The second # 368 is another silver award (22mm) with good clear simple design, title and stylised monogram all on a dimpled ground. Both are marked Birmingham 1924 by M&B. Perhaps ladies’ and gentlemen’s’ variations.
