Button # 73 Image submitted by John Sagi Button # 73a 28.5mm 'ALEX KIRKWOOD SOUTH St AND RwST 'MEUSE LANE EDIN' Description Lanark Golf Society - (Scotland) a later issue has L.G.C. A very fine two piece but near flat copper gilt example measuring 22mm. The dimpled ground of the obverse bears a finely raised design, four crossed clubs, the society’s initials and the date 1852 at the base. The reverse is marked, Alex Kirkwood South St. Andrw St. Meuse Lane Edin. Messrs Firmin also produced a similar button, but with the initials ‘L.G.C’.
